Original design was created by making a mold of a real horned lizard skull, found naturally desiccated in the desert outside of Tucson, Arizona. This design is cast in small batches in the Heliotrope studio in Barrio Viejo, Tucson. Even through all of the steps of the lost wax casting process, an incredible amount of detail was preserved from the original skull – must be seen to be believed. True desert lovers know.
